OSSEA
- The Ohio State Society of Enrolled Agents was chartered in
January, 1996, as an affiliate of the National Association of
Enrolled Agents.
- The founders of OSSEA were driven by a desire to be part of
a national organization that has the ability to shape or
influence tax policies and procedures on the national, state and
local levels.
- From an initial membership of 80+ in January 1996, the OSSEA
has grown to a membership of 275+. OSSEA membership
includes Ohio-based: Enrolled Agents, Circular 230
professionals, and those tax professionals currently
experiencing the Special Enrollment Exam process. OSSEA
also allows NAEA members from surrounding states to elect the
Ohio affiliate as a second membership.
- The focus of the organization is on the enrolled agent, and
because of this focus, all OSSEA board members are active
enrolled agents.
